ME AND MY WRITING
I’m Anthony MacMurray, a screenwriter specialising in comedy.
Currently the Head Writer on CBBCs hit comedy So Awkward Academy, I have been a lead writer and script polisher on eight series of So Awkward, with one of my episodes winning the BAFTA for Best Children’s Comedy in 2018 and the spin-off feature I wrote picking up a Royal Television Society Award nomination in 2023.
For adults, I’ve written sketches, sitcoms and features. I created and wrote the critically acclaimed comedy series The Last Chancers for Channel 4, starring Adam Buxton and Kevin Bishop.
